Bike Industry Networking
"Social Networking will get more people riding bicycles"
For me personally, I some times have a hard time tearing myself away from my work, its different for me when I have someone to go riding with though. It's a lot easier to get the average person to venture out bike riding if they know they have some one to go riding with!
The graphic symbol on the left outlines my basic concept of how a rider like my self could help develop a local community social network. The idea is to round up the riders, bicycle retailers, bicycles industry sales reps, bicycle industry media, main stream media and parks located in the local mountains and start working together on a more active level. The Bike Teacher event productions does just that, it gets us working together and more importantly it gets more people heading to the outdoors and enjoying out local area mountain trails.
Byron Friday's cycling journeys have taken him to the World Hot Bed of Cycling- that place is Europe. Cycling runs deep in the European culture and local Grass Roots Bicycle promotions of this type are the norm in most European communities. Byron is excited about potential opportunity in applying his experience and knowledge gained in Europe.
