When do classes start?

There are no set dates to Bike Teacher classes- all class times can start and end at your convenience, and can be split to accommodate tighter schedules. Classes like the 40 and 70 hour course can be taken in consecutive 8 hour segments M-F, or split over a series of evenings or weekends. Bike Teacher’s small class sizes allow for a one-on-one teaching experience, and flexibility in class planning.

Do you offer Payment plans?

Payment plans are generally offered on the 40 hour and 70 hour classes. Payments can be spread over time on a few different schedules- contact us to discuss what works for your needs.

What do I need to bring to class?

We provide all the tools you’ll need for these classes, and can provide a bike to work on as well. You are encouraged to bring any tools that you ride with to get more familiar with them, as well as your own bike to deepen your connection with it. Gloves, aprons, and any other safety gear will be offered.

Can I bring my bike?

We encourage you to bring your bike(s) so you can get familiar with your rig. You will be able to learn and perform repairs and adjustments on your own bike in class. If something breaks in the learning process, we have plenty of components to make sure it’s fixed by the end of class. What a great learning experience!

What are the differences between the 40 and 70 hour classes?

The 70 hour class allows you to cover all the skills discussed in the Park Tool curriculum across multiple versions of headsets, crank sets, and brake systems. If you don’t want to learn these variations, you may use the time to reinforce what you are learning by spending more time on derailleur adjustments, hydraulic systems, brake adjustments, or whatever you would like to practice.

Do you also perform service repairs?Yes! If you don’t want to learn how to repair the recent issue you’ve run into, just drop it off and I’ll fix it for you. You can schedule a time for your service here. Some repairs can be done while you wait, depending on the severity of the problem.
